Elizabeth Johnston with her Woman's History Month tribute
"When I think of the many inspiring women who have shaped me into the person I am today, I keep coming back to my mentor from when I first began working in my profession. Jennifer Hannon has always been a compassionate, tenacious, and dedicated leader. In 2017, she was recognized as the Louisiana Social Worker of the Year at the National Association of Social Workers-Louisiana Conference for her amazing efforts to organize shelter and relief efforts during the 2016 flooding of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. She is currently working for the state of Louisiana to ensure the availability of mental health services for children throughout the state. "
