Memorial Day 2019
On Memorial Day, May 27, we will pay tribute to our fallen heroes and their families by participating in the Memorial Day Parade. If you haven't yet walked in a parade with McLean County Democrats, now's your chance! We'll be handing out flags along the parade route, which is always fun! Here's what you need to know: 8:00am Lineup begins on Front Street near the Law and Justice Center. Participants can walk in the parade or ride on the flatbed. Please bring a folding chair if sitting on the flatbed. 9:00amParade kick off, concluding at Miller Park 10:00am Memorial Day service at the band stand in Miller Park 10:30-11:00am (time approximate, after the conclusion of the Memorial Day service)We will have our Memorial Day potluck picnic! The Dems will provide pulled pork, and the rest is pitch-in. Please sign up for a dish to bring! Dems will likely be at the shelter next to the stage. Look for our banner! Heyworth Hey Days 2019
The McLean County Democrats were proud to visit Heyworth for their Hey Days Festival! Communications Chair Patrick Cortesi, Precinct Committee Person Jeff Bertrand, County Board Member Elizabeth Johnston, and Events Chair Karla Huffman spent the day talking to residents about the Democrats. -

May General Meeting
The McLean County Democrats held their May General Meeting on Thursday, May 16. Candidate for the 13th Congressional District, Betsy Dirksen Londrigan made an appearance and the featured guest speaker was Kristin Rae, founder and CEO of Inspire Travel Luggage. -

Memorial Day Parade and Picnic!
Join the McLean County Democrats in paying tribute to our fallen heroes and their families by participating in the Memorial Day Parade and then joining us for a picnic in Miller Park. This is a FREE event and all are welcome! Parade line up at 9:00 at the corner of Front and Center for the Memorial Day parade! At the Miller Park picnic, the Dems will provide smoked meat and we hope you will bring the rest. -

Postcard Party for Reproductive Health in Illinois
On May 8, Dems enjoyed an evening of postcard writing, snacks and wine, urging the Illinois General Assembly to support the Reproductive Health Act (HB 2495)Every individual has the right to make their own decisions about their reproductive health. Abortion is health care, not a crime. Participants wrote short messages to elected officials about the issues that matter to them. -
